Fundraise for SU2C: Host an Event
Are you a Self-Starter? Hosting an event for SU2C is a great way to get involved and have a lot of fun at the same time. As the event planner, you'll be able to invite people in your community, set the tone of the event and make it the most fun your friends and family have had in a long time - all while raising money for a great cause.
Let SU2C be your guide. Once you come up with a great idea, we're ready to approve it and give you great tools and materials to make your event a success. If you don't have a great idea already, there may even be some ideas you can steal.
Send us your proposal › Once you're official, we'll be in touch and provide you with what you need, online and off.

Dancing With The Teachers & More!
The students at Fieldstone Middle School wanted to create a fundraiser for a charity. They chose Stand Up To Cancer after realizing that it is a cause that connects everyone. They picked a dancing event, betting that "everyone would pay to see teachers dance." What they didn't realize is that the teachers would be pretty great dancers!
Their dancing competition has become only one of many creative fundraisers including a flash mob, holiday gift table, and Italian ice sales. Fieldstone has hosted four annual DWTT events and raised over $100,000 to date for SU2C.
Here's Why It Matters: Funding Collaborative Research
Stand Up To Cancer brings together talented scientists and doctors from different institutions to collaborate on Dream Teams.
The goal: Speed up the discovery of new therapies across all cancer types, and get them to patients.
So far, SU2C has funded 20 Dream Teams, 6 Translational Research Grants, and 46 Innovative Research Grants.
We're getting results. Results like a new first-line therapy for advanced pancreatic cancer. And expedited FDA approval of a treatment for advanced breast cancer. SU2C delivers on its commitment to move promising work from the lab bench to the patient's bedside within three years.
"It's the best dollar spent in this country for support of cancer research and benefit of patients"
